In 2016, 26-year-old Ben Innes from the U.K. found himself in a terrifying situation aboard an EgyptAir flight to Cairo. Mid-flight, a man named Seif Eldin Mustafa hijacked the plane, claiming to be strapped with explosives and holding a detonator in his hand.

Demanding that the pilot divert the plane to Cyprus instead of Egypt, the hijacker made it clear that any defiance could mean disaster. Fearing for their lives, the pilot complied and safely landed the plane in Cyprus.

Upon arrival, Seif Eldin released 52 of the 55 passengers but kept 3, along with 4 crew members, as hostages. Among them was Ben Innes, whose next move would stun the world.

In a bold and bizarre act, Ben approached the hijacker and asked if he could take a selfie with him. Despite the strangeness of the request, Seif Eldin, slightly confused, agreed. Luckily, the bomb was a fake. The hijacker was arrested, and the remaining hostages were safely freed. 

When asked why he took the photo, Ben explained that he was trying to stay positive in a terrifying situation, reasoning that if the bomb had been real, he didn’t have much to lose anyway.

PRODUCER CEDO SPEAKS ON FALLOUT WITH NYASHINSKI

Music producer Cedrick ‘Cedo’ Kadenyi has broken his silence over rumors surrounding his friendship with rapper and singer Nyashinski. The two reportedly fell out over a lucrative business deal. In June, Nyashinski reportedly asked Cedo to produce jingles for a client, offering Sh1 million for his work on a deal valued at Sh10 million. Initially, Cedo agreed, but after learning the full scope of the deal, he reconsidered and sought a higher fee. Adding fuel to the fire, Nyashinski removed 20 of his tracks from major streaming platforms such as Spotify. Interestingly, many of the tracks were produced by Cedo.
