GUT INFLAMMATION
I don’t like people that claim to have done everything without results.
There are thousands of ways around it,
Don’t tell me you have done it all.
It reeks of laziness and giving up on yourself easily.
Arm yourself with the right information and start again.
Alright, let’s talk about something very important
Are you struggling with digestive issues like Hemorrhoids, Gastritis , or Gut inflammation?
This is for you.
So, this man messaged me few months ago, Wale (not real name), was going through a bit of a tough time with digestive issues.
You know, the usual suspects, like changes in bathroom habits, unwanted weight loss, funky stool colors, feeling like things weren't quite empty after using the toilet, fatigue, weird stomach pains, and more.
His symptoms also include itchy anus, pain around the rear end, lumps, trouble going to the bathroom, bloody stool, stomach aches, bloating, and even nausea.
So, I asked him what he had been doing to ease the discomfort.
Turns out, Wale was drinking a lot of water, sipping on smoothies and fruit juices, eating three times a day (or even more), downing milk to ease gas, and loading up on high carbs foods like semolina, wheat, and pounded yam.
He was also taking foods that contains fibre cucumber with the back, beans, oats not knowing that these foods do more harm than good.
I suggested him going for some tests like an upper gastrointestinal series (UGI), ultrasounds, CT scans, and X-rays to get the doctor to rule out other issues like colon cancer, ulcerative colitis etc.
The results came back with a diagnosis of hemorrhoids, gastritis , and gut inflammation.
Wale was understandably shocked, and said, "I drink a lot of water and avoid soda, only opting for smoothies and fruit juice. Why is this happening?"
So, I laid it out plain and simple: You're going about it the wrong way.
Here's the scoop on what to do instead:
1. Start with fasting—try 18/6 or even go for 1-2 meals a day . Let your gut take a breather and heal.
2. Pick the right salt for digestive support. Don't just grab any salt; steer clear of the synthetic stuff.
3. Zinc glycinate/picolinate is your pal. Go for the good stuff; it might be a bit pricier, but it's worth the long-term relief.
4. Say no to milk! Lactose can make gut inflammation worse.
5. Give fruits a break for now. Fructose can be a troublemaker for an already inflamed gut.
6. Kick wheat and gluten to the curb. They're not friends with your gut—avoid them like the plague.
7. Ease up on the fiber. Let your gut catch a break. Loading up on fiber when things are already inflamed is like adding fuel to the fire. Fermented veggies like sauerkraut 1-2x a week are cool, though.
8. Avoid low salt diet . Sodium and chloride help your lower gut do its thing.
Forget the myth about drinking tons of water; it messes with electrolytes that support gut function.
9. Ditch the toilet seat, squat with pole or something(this will enable proper emptying of your bowel).
Wale stucked to this plan about 90% of the time, and guess what?
He has broken free from digestive issues like hemorrhoids, gastritis , and gut inflammation.
You can be Wale if you stop doing things that best depicts insanity(doing the same thing over and again expecting different results).
I can only imagine the pain Wale went through due to ignorance.
So, when I share this kind of information, take a moment to consider it.
Remember, information is power.
And just a heads up, this post is all about sharing knowledge, not replacing advice from your doctor.
Read up, learn, and let's build that gut health together.
Best of luck.
Ps. You can request for a gut fix diet plan, amongst others. Send a dm
Goodluck.
